I hope you are all keeping well and enjoying your autumn. Please mark down 22nd June (Friday) and 23rd June (Saturday) into your calendars for the 2018 O’Brien Trophy annual competition.
We’ll be heading to the “Hotel Woodstock, Ennis, Co Clare”. Yep, it was a winner in 2016 and hopefully this time we can play the Woodstock Golf Club, now 90% cow free. Call it a do over if you like, a chance to play the home course. Note the booking information provided.
Accommodation
• 2 nights bed & 2 breakfast with 1 dinner (Saturday Night) €155 per adult. If you are only staying on the Saturday it will be 1 night bed & breakfast plus 1 dinner €85 per adult sharing. Unfortunately there is a single supplement of €30.00 per single room per night, so find a roommate.
• On the family room side there is only a supplement for a family room of €20.00 for the larger family room but Kids stay free and only pay for what they eat that is up to the age of 12 yrs..
• For those local guests attending dinner only the table d’hote menu is €25.00.
• The booking pass code is “Kerry O’Brien Reunion” please mention when booking or prices will go up.
• They will hold a certain amount of rooms unit April 15th and these are first come first serve or until sold out. They cannot guarantee price or availability if you book after April 15th, so please do not delay. Obviously it’s better for us and them if we book earlier so please do not procrastinate…. don’t leave until last minute to avoid disappointment. Just dial 065 6899800. Do it now!
Golf
For our OBT party the price per person will be €30, in addition, golf buggy’s can be rented for €25. Currently they only have 3 buggy’s available which I have reserved. Please advise if you or someone you know requires a buggy, if more than 3 are required I may need to contact the course to have some brought in. I don’t want to do this unless it’s necessary so please advise. I am thinking at very least Jimmy, Paddy, Anita, Mick and Eileen will require. If you plan on only playing 9 holes, please advise the golf club at the time of paying. We have provisionally booked our group in for 12.30pm on Saturday June 23rd 2018. 2nd Annual OTT
For those of you who don’t play golf we will try to arrange another O’Brien Table Tennis (or the OTT) Tournament introduced by Frankie last year. The price to enter will be €3 per person. This is the 2nd year of this and seeing as I was not there in 2017 I have no idea how it’s run. Let’s hope this can be done.
